How does mediation work?+
The office first agrees the format, date and rules of the meeting. The parties then identify the issues and, if they wish, record their arrangements in a settlement.
Is mediation confidential and voluntary?+
Yes. The parties decide whether to participate and whether to accept proposed arrangements. The mediator does not impose a decision.
